Jaipur, The Indo-German Cooperation for Safety, Health and Wellbeing (IGC-SHW), Noida, in collaboration with DGUV Germany and the International Social Security Association (ISSA), successfully organized an international workshop on the “Vision Zero” approach at JCB India Limited, Mahindra World City, Jaipur.
The workshop focused on the global goal of achieving safe and accident-free workplaces by adopting the Vision Zero system – a preventive approach that ensures zero accidents, zero occupational diseases, and enhanced worker well-being. The initiative aims to eliminate workplace tragedies and create a culture of safety across industries worldwide.
A large number of safety officers from industries located in and around Mahindra World City, Jaipur actively participated in the workshop. The sessions highlighted the importance of a holistic strategy to prevent workplace accidents, shared best practices, presented case studies, and discussed practical tools to strengthen occupational safety globally.
In the inaugural address, Dr. Avnish Singh, former Director General, DGFASLI, Ministry of Labour & Employment, Government of India, explained the Vision Zero concept and emphasized motivating people toward safe workplace behavior. He urged participants to adopt the Vision Zero approach in their respective industries to build a strong safety culture.
Mr. Karunesh Srivastava, Director, Vision Zero Rating System, India, elaborated on the seven golden rules of Vision Zero, stressing the importance of continuous learning and updated safety knowledge in today’s rapidly changing industrial environment.
Mr. Jyoti Prakash Mishra, Head (Safety), JCB India Limited, Faridabad, played a key role in ensuring the success of the workshop.
The event concluded with a call for collective efforts to achieve the Vision Zero mission and raise global awareness for safer, healthier, and sustainable workplaces.
